This is such a convenient tool for those of us that do not have the time to do the hours of research and everything involved with this ambitious task.

The music you make available is incredible, and the interviews are top notch. No, this is not Kiwi music, but great music from the land of Kiwi’s.

You’re doing an Orsum job.

We don’t call it Kiwi Music down here though. We just call it music.
We differentiate other kinds of music (that done by foreigners) by labelling that “Music With A Funny Accent.”

Saw them at the Leigh Sawmill Cafe earlier this year. Brilliant!
And yeah. I’m surprised how popular the uke has gotten here. A friend of mine stopped playing guitar and took up the uke recently. He’s trying to get me to buy one as well. But I have a little Martin backpacker guitar, so that’s sort of like the same-same, right?

Hi Bob,

Sorry about the issues with iTunes. It would seem the podcast is a bit more popular than I had planned for. I use a free server for the podcast files. I run out of bandwidth on that server about two days after it resets each month. Subsequently the files are not accessible until the bandwidth resets again. So it would seem there is like a two or three day window where one can actually access the files on iTunes.

I have made the podcast available for download directly from the blog here. You only need save the file to your computer then you can add it to your iTunes library.

That is the temporary fix until I can afford to upgrade my server.

I am so sorry about this!

i was told about your podcast while touring new zealand these last 3 weeks when i did an interview at volcano radio in lyttleton (sp?)

anyway i’m trying to download your podcast, like many others i listen to however it doesn’t download from itunes. i’m not sure why. have you any advice?

Thanks so much for taking the time to listen in and to give me your feedback.

What Justin was using in that Red Bull footage plagued me for months! It was great to finally hear the method behind the madness! haha.

I love the way Age thinks musically.

I too am excited to have the entire album. I can’t wait to hear the whole thing!

Next podcast should be music from Loop recordings with an interview with Mikee (owner and founder of Loop).

Thanks for another great show. I downloaded it as soon the notification appeared in my feed reader. A great interview which made me appreciate Age’s music even more.

I especially liked the insights into the songwriting process and how he has evolved as a musician. I had also wondered about that “toy” used on the guitar in the Red Bull Sessions – great to have that explained…

Great to have a sneak preview of the Woolshed Sessions. Looking forward to the next episode of Kiwi by Proxy.

Yes I hope to have an Age Pryor interview in the coming weeks.

I am waiting to hear back from Age as to when the best time is to meet up. It is tricky trying to work around a 17 hour time difference and busy schedules (I am sure he is busy, and I know I am with work etc.)

He has so much great stuff he has put out though and a new project he is working on I am really hoping we can “sit down” and chat about it all.

Can I just thank you for all your podcasts. I am a big fan of NZ music and it is great to have a podcast entirely devoted to NZ music.

I especially enjoyed the Phoenix Foundation / Samuel Flynn Scott podcasts (as I love the Phoenix Foundation) and it is great to be pointed in the direction of bands that I have yet to discover.

Did I read something about an Age Pryor podcast? If so, I am really looking forward to that…

We actually left a day later than expected (but then that is how moving goes.)

But yea we are here in Oklahoma now. We will live in OKC, but are in Norman at present until our house is ready for us.

Sweet, I like a few of these artists.

Maybe Jesse Rivest for a future episode? He might be Canadian but he lives and plays in Wellington. I found that his podcast is low-fi but has more recent songs. His last CD has just guitar and voice, but there’s some cool tunes.
